Backhaul 2G base station GSM traffic, CDMA or WiMAX over fiber with aggregation at the MSC/BSC or extension directly over SDH/SONET.

Our Solution:

Use RAD’s fiber mux product line to backhaul GSM, CDMA or WiMAX traffic over fiber. You can aggregate E1s/T1s at the MSC/BSC or send them out to SDH/SONET infrastructure with a compatible demarcation unit. The solution transmits each of the E1 and T1 signals independently so that each channel can be set to a different clock source to facilitate backhaul sharing among different operators. Moreover, the fiber muxes transport the data and voice traffic transparently, , so you can transport virtually any payload. The solution has full central management for provisioning and monitoring. Dual uplink and power supply for increased network resiliency.
